my vision
born premature with retinopathy of prematurity. had cryotherapy eye surgery on eyes at birth.
left eye had a vitreous hemorrhage at age 10 in 2000. no lens removal. cataract formed in 2018 and was removed in 2022. got lens implant pseudoaphakia. surgery caused astigmatism. severely weakened muscles. slightly strenuous to generally use for more than a few minutes. no accommodation no focusing power no depth perception. monocular diplopia.
right eye had severe vitreous hemorrhage at age 10 in 2001. no lens implant aphakia. contact lens makes up for that loss since then. without contact sight is extremely blurry. dominant eye. no accommodation no focusing power no depth perception. monocular diplopia.
switching between eyes using one then the other is like using a magnifying glass to describe one eye and then turning it over using the other side to describe vision in other eye since one having an implanted lens and the other having a contact lens in/no implant (blurry). visually strenuous using both eyes at the same time due to esotropia both eyes turn in causing headaches. headaches induce when using one eye if other isn’t covered as well since my brain tries to use both. when using one eye the other eye turns in. both eyes are monocular diplopic having a sense of double vision out of each eye separately and binocular diplopia double vision out of both eyes when using them both at the same time. each eye has no accommodation changing near or far focus because of not having an organic lens thus no focusing power to adjust. without organic lenses no depth perception. cant tell distance. only one unadjustable vision setting out of each eye. if something is blurry to see it clearly it would need to be a certain distance away from me for me to see whatever im looking at at any given time properly
